Privacy Policy & Terms
Last updated: May 2026
At RTISeva, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. Because our service involves handling sensitive grievances, personal matters, and legal queries, we hold confidentiality to the highest standard. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.
1. Information We Collect
When you submit a case or create an account, we may collect the following information:
- Contact Details: Your full name, phone number, and email address.
- Case Information: The text description of your case, grievance, or the information you are seeking.
- Supporting Media: Any documents (PDFs, images) or audio recordings you choose to upload to support your application.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used exclusively for the purpose of providing our services to you. Specifically, we use it to:
- Research and identify the correct Public Information Officer (PIO), Ministry, or Department.
- Draft a legally sound Right to Information (RTI) application on your behalf.
- Communicate with you regarding the status of your application via phone or email.
- File the application on the official government portals on your behalf.
3. Data Security and Confidentiality
We restrict access to your personal information to authorized personnel only, strictly on a "need-to-know" basis for drafting your RTI. Your uploaded documents and audio files are securely stored on encrypted cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). We strictly do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party marketers or data brokers.
4. Third-Party Sharing
While we keep your data confidential, we must share certain details with specific third parties to fulfill our service:
- Government Authorities: When we file your RTI, your name, contact details, and case description are submitted to the respective government department as required by the RTI Act, 2005.
- Payment Processors: We use secure payment gateways (like UPI) to process the ₹149 + 18% GST fee. We do not store your banking credentials.
- Infrastructure Providers: We use secure infrastructure providers to host our application and securely store your files.
5. Limitation of Liability
RTISeva is responsible for drafting the RTI application, finding the correct PIO, and submitting the application. We cannot guarantee a favorable response, or any response at all, from the Public Information Officer or the concerned government department. We are not responsible for delays caused by government bodies. However, we do assist in drafting First Appeals if a response is delayed or unsatisfactory.
6. Refund Policy
Since we operate on a "zero upfront risk" model, you only pay us after we have researched and drafted your application. Once you confirm the payment of ₹149 + 18% GST and we file the RTI on the government portal, the fee is non-refundable, as the service has been rendered and the government fee has been paid.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. You may also request that we delete your documents or account from our systems, provided the RTI has already been filed and the records are no longer necessary for ongoing appeals.
